Harrisburg, PA (October 10, 2025) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA (BBBS) is proud to announce the resounding success of its annual Over The Edge fundraiser, held in downtown Harrisburg. The nonprofit raised over $82,000 to support transformative youth mentoring programs across its 7-county service region.

More than 65 daring participants are stepping up in a big way, by rappelling 18 stories (a 200-foot descent) from the rooftop of the Market Square Plaza building. Each descent is not just a feat of courage, but a powerful statement of commitment to BBBS’s mission to ignite the power and promise of youth through one-to-one mentoring relationships.

“Over The Edge is more than a thrilling experience; it represents the bold steps our Bigs, Littles, families, and communities take every day to create brighter futures,” said Amy Rote, President & CEO of BBBS. “The bravery of our participants and the generosity of our donors help us grow and sustain our life-changing mentoring programs, directly impacting the lives of over 1,300 youth annually.”

The funds raised ensure that BBBS can continue to recruit, train, and support dedicated

mentors who provide guidance, stability, and hope to youth throughout the South-Central PA region.

Fleet Repair Solutions proudly returned as the event’s Presenting Sponsor for the second year in a row. They continue to sponsor the Over The Edge fundraiser because it makes a real impact, not just for the Littles, but for the Bigs and everyone involved. Fleet Repair Solutions supports BBBS because mentorship changes lives. It gives young people guidance, confidence, and opportunities for the future, while building stronger communities along the way.

BBBS extends heartfelt thanks to the participants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and supporters who made this unforgettable day possible. Together, we are helping youth across South-Central PA dream bigger, achieve more, and thrive, one match at a time.
